Mariam’s story
Mariam is nine years old and now lives in a refugee camp after fleeing her home because of the war. With everything left behind, she faces each day with very little food and an uncertain future. Many mornings, she goes to school hungry, trying to focus on her lessons while her stomach aches.
Despite the hardship, Mariam holds onto her dream of becoming a teacher one day. Every meal provided to children like Mariam gives them the strength to learn, grow, and hold onto hope for a better tomorrow.
